Shallos Antique Restaurant and Brewhaus is a southside Indianapolis secret known for their swamp sauce, home made potato chips, and lots of bottled and draft beers. 40 beers on tap and 500 or so in the coolers, to be less than exact. Forget the beer menu, it's outdated and changes weekly due to "world economic conditions."
There are lots of antiques and other stuff laying around to gawk at (but not buy), Including 250+ tap handles and loads of old pictures- one showing the Arc of Triumph at the downtown circle and a ship on the lawn of the State Capitol. While there are many beer related items (Shallos claims to be a "beer museum"), other treats abound. Walk around and find the genuine 38-star flag, Board of Trade oak door, Mosler safe, and oak cigar store cases. The menu will help you on the scavenger hunt. Discover the whereabouts of the stolen piece of stained glass and claim a reward! Oh, while upstairs taking a "lap" amuse yourself by poking on the tin ceiling with your finger... "ha ha!"
