Mishawaka Brewing Company
The second oldest brewpub in Indiana. Large, dark (green and wood) bar with several rooms for dining or meetings. All American barley, yeast, and hops. Every fall they make a batch using hops grown on the walls of their beer garden. When they converted the 9000 sq ft building from a fitness center, they had to fill in the swimming pool.
| From the Mishawaka
Brewing web site:
"The Mishawaka Brewing Company has purchased all of the brewing equipment of the Duneland Brewhouse in Michigan City, IN and is preparing to open a standalone brewery for the express purpose of bottling for distribution. The existing brewery is maxed out as far as outside sales are concerned.
"The new brewery is relatively small with a 15 bbl system that was manufactured by Specific Mechanical. Additional fermenters were also manufactured by Specific. Target startup date is April 2005."
