Mega Brewpub in Downtown Indianapolis. Part of a 11-brewpub chain. Conveniently located 1 block from the dome, 2 blocks, from the fieldhouse, across the street from the Circle Center Mall. By a narrow margin, the most big-shoulder elegant of the downtown beer halls. While the service is possibly the most professional in town, they do insist on pouring beer into iced mugs if you don't ask for a warm glass. So don't be shy to make it known you don't want their excellent beers to be frozen.Part of a 4-pub 4-block walking crawl with the Alcatraz, Rock Bottom, and BW3. You can also find Ram's beers in the RCA Hoosier Dome in the lower concourse at aisles 109 and 135 and in the ATA Lounges.

Representative Beer Menu

Indy Blonde Light ale. "For lager drinkers who want to trade up from mass-market blandness". Willamette and Cascade hops.
Butt Face Amber American Amber ale with Willamette hops. Sweet and citrusy. 5 malts and 4 hop varieties. (Also served in the RCA dome).
Big Red IPA An American version of the highly-hopped India Pale Ale. The bitterest beer on the menu. Pale and 8% carastan malts. Mt. Hood hops.
Ram Pilsner Delicate classic European pilsner with Noble Saaz hops.
Big Horn Hefeweizen German-style unfiltered wheat beer. 45% malted wheat with unmalted wheat and Munich malt. Hallertauer hops.
Total Disorder Porter Medium bodied, roasty, chocolatey, dark ale. 2-row with chocolate and carastan malt. Smooth, round.
Big Horn Light A light lager made with all-barley. An introduction beer.
Crossroads ESB
(seasonal)
A golden ale with a big, stable head. It's crisp and well balanced and dry with all the sweetness fermented out - which makes it a bit thin for style. Very subtle aroma that's also well balanced. 4.5% ABV
Wee Creature Scotch Ale
(seasonal)
The "Wee" is in tribute to Broad Ripple Brewpub's Wee Alec Heavy because Wee Heavy and Scotch seem to go together. But back to the beer. At 7.7% and a 18-oz pint it's not to be taken lightly. Don't look for a copy of BRBP's though - it's way at the less alcoholic mouth feel end of the scale. Roast and biscuit malts come through the Fuggles hops. Smooth and dangerous.
Spinal Tap
(seasonal)
An English old ale style beer available while the snow falls. This has been aging in the keg since last winter.
Old Jack's Blizzard
(seasonal)
An American Imperial ESB - in the Sierra Nevada Celebration mode. It's medium copper with massive hops and noticeable edges. 7% at 1070 Original Gravity. Uses Simcoe, Horizon, and Cascades hops.

$3.50 per 18-oz pint.
$4.75 per 24-oz mug.
