May is RACE MONTH at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, of course, and DAREDEVIL BREWING in Speedway has a NEW BEER to celebrate! Race Day American Craft Lager debuts as an easy drinking beer brewed with MASA, a corn meal used to make tortillas. In addition, the Daredevil Maibock (May bock – slightly sweet dark beer) is now on tap and may remain through race day. And look for the Dunkel or dark lager soon! Daredevils tap room, 1151 Main Street in Speedway, ( about a 7 block walk to the edge of the track) will be open from 7AM until 8PM on race day with carry-out beer in cans available.
Figuring out your lunch to take to the track? Upland Brewing has a new seasonal called Marion the Agrarian, a dry-hopped hoppy farmhouse ale with locally sourced honey and a hop that gives it a slight orange hint. The beer is in 4-packs and on tap at Upland locations delivering 7.5% alcohol, about 50% more boost than the average lager beer.
Upland proudly opens their new Woodhouse facility in Bloomington where Upland Sour beers are aged. This facility opens on May 21 and has a taproom with up to 20 beers on tap. Our feature blog is coming up on this one!
