Since 1979.... Carroll Kahn sold to Jim Arnold in 1995 and the high quality of customer service, inventory control, and employee spirit have been maintained. No doubt the largest beer selection in town (600+). Both locations are packed to the gills with bottles - beer, wine, scotch, etc. etc. The Carmel store includes a full gourmet food section with deli complete with an organic meat section. Kahn's is also famous for catering. The liquor store end is mostly wine but on the back wall you'll find a shelf of singles and a large walk-in cooler stocked with 6-packs and cases. Decent single malt Scotch offering including some Whyte & Whyte and Glenhaven bottlings. Their web site includes a beer search page that includes just a sampling of their inventory but gives single and case prices - a tremendously handy reference. It's worth noting that Kahn's closes much earlier than most liquors stores.
