Top 5 reasons to attend a beer fest now: Broad Ripple Beer Fest coming up!

Maybe you’ve tried out a few new breweries, or just  visited your favorite.  That’s where the beer fest saves us time!     With  so many  breweries it is basically impossible to visit all you want.  Even as I try I can’t get everywhere and try all of the beers, and I’ve been to about ten breweries and attended two tappings at a craft beer bar just in the past few weeks. The Halloween Themed Broad Ripple Beer Fest gives an option to try hundreds of beers from Breweries around the state during a Saturday afternoon Halloween party at a cool local park for only $40 per person if you act before Oct. 24!

Five Reasons to Attend a Beer Fest this Fall!

1: Save money!  For less $ than traveling you can visit many breweries in one spot.   Current count for the Broad Ripple Brew Fest on Oct. 27, is 42 breweries, 3 cider and mead makers, a distributor with several beer brands, and a home brew shop with beer to sample. You’d cover a swath of nearly 75 miles wide and 200 miles long inside Indiana to visit these breweries.

2:  Save Time!   Even if you only sample from 25 of the breweries (keeping consumption to a few pints total (at 3 oz each sample) You’d spend at least 5 and likely 7 or 8 days visiting 3 to 5 breweries a day (that’s a lot of Uber cost!).  You can visit the 25 breweries (or 40) in the 4 hours 2-6 pm, on Oct 27 at Indy’s Northside OptiPark.

3. Find Rare Beers!  Even though the full list is not out yet, there  will be a Bourbon Barrel Aged, Russian Imperial Stout from Scarlet Lane, a Passionfruit Coconut Blonde ale at only 4.8% alcohol from Four Day Ray, the Old 55 Bourbon Barrel Aged Grand Cru from Fountain Square, and a never-yet-released double IPA with juicy flavor but clear collaboration between the Broad Ripple Brew Pub and Grand Junction all in the HopCat Specialty Beer booth.  You surely did not make it to former Brewery of the Year Byway Brewing of Hammond yet for Barrel Aged Cinn Tax-maple imperial brown.  There are more!

4. Get your costume on!  Have fun in this partially wooded venue.   Some trick or treat functions with the 3 oz samples

5. Support local charity.  Asante Children’s Theater benefits with every ticket sold. Feel good about the donation, Drink beer, Have fun, and call Uber or get a designated driver ($10 DD ticket)
